JULIEN DELACROIX (3)
22 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
22 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
Molonov's genius cousin, who fell into his custody when Molonov's aunt (Delacroix's mother) suddenly died. At first, Molonov felt too guilty to kill the boy, because Delacroix was his only living relative, so he pawned him off on Starikovich. But as time went on, and Molonov discovered the boy's hidden talents, he began to believe that Delacroix was far too valuable to kill. Delacroix, however, hates Molonov with a passion. Molonov cannot control him, and is afraid that Delacroix will tear down the labs if he is put in a place of power, so he keeps him controlled through violent force, and the detrimental effects of the experiments. The years of treatment have worn on Delacroix's system, causing some of the most violent reactions the labs have seen. His physical state isn't the only thing that's suffering the effects, though; his mental state is also deteriorating, leaving the once-enthusiastic boy bitter and apathetic.

_______ MICHALSKI (8)

25 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
Starikovich's favorite experiment, and a great weight on Molonov's mind. Michalski is a beautiful woman, and she was a gifted poet when Molonov first scooped her up from his own hometown. Having spent such a long time at the laboratories appears to have deteriorated Michalski's mental state quite a bit, but whether it's a real reaction or an act to get attention is open to debate. Whatever the explanation, Michalski tends to drift around the halls of the giant building, almost ghostlike. She tends to hum or sing to herself, sometimes quietly and sometimes obnoxiously loud, and because the scientists won't invest in a notebook and pen for the poor girl, she's been discovered writing poetry on the bathroom walls with soap or on the cafeteria tables with her tomato sauce.

KATYA DMYTRUK (11)

22 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
Dmytruk is the third of the four surviving original experiments that continues to be tested on. Though she doesn't remember it, Dmytruk is the only resident who consented to Molonov's experiments. She was sixteen years old and completely devoted to science when the scientist met her in a quaint shop in a Russian city. Now, Dmytruk can't even remember her own name a majority of the time, and the treatments have made her so weak that she can hardly hold a conversation without getting out of breath or passing out. Dmytruk has a bittersweet connection with Delacroix, because memories of him are some of the few that have stuck with her through the years. But unlike the Delacroix she knows now, the boy in her memories is bubbly and charismatic.

_______ DUBOIS (24)

28 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
Confined to a wheelchair because of his endless fatigue brought on by so many treatments, Dubois has become a bitter old man before even turning thirty. He is consistently antagonizing everyone around him. He hates the girls he sees as attention seekers (Michalski, because he's convinced she's faking; Kerimov, because he thinks she's using romantic connections to try to earn her survival; Ellis, because he believes she's lying about Kavanagh) most of all, but he can find a flaw in anyone he meets, because he's simply that cynical about the world around him. He inhales hope and exhales negativity.

_______ KERIMOV (73)

27 years old, been at the labs for 6 years.
Though she has been at the labs for a rather long time, most would argue that Kerimov has had a relatively easy stay. She immediately made a connection with the higher-ups, in an ongoing affair with Starikovich's biochemist, Yatskaya, and they fell in love. At first, it didn't make much difference; Yatskaya was intent on impressing his superiors, and thus did not want to take any chances by sneaking Kerimov out of her assigned treatments. But, just recently, Kerimov discovered she was pregnant. Upon telling Yatskaya, he assured her that he would keep her out of the treatment lab until she could give birth to their child. But that isn't the biggest problem the couple faces; if the lab staff were to find out one of the residents is pregnant, they would force an abortion on her. Kerimov will do anything to protect her unborn child, but she's not sure how long she's going to be able to hide her pregnancy.

17 years old, been at the labs for 5 years.
Taken at a young twelve years of age, Ellis has had an incredibly difficult five years at the labs. Due to her youth, the effects of the treatment have been almost doubled in their intensity for this girl. She has pulled through all the problems with an astounding resiliance. There is one problem she cannot seem to overcome, however: Kavanagh, Starikovich's sadistic immunologist had taken a liking to her at the very beginning. The man is so much bigger than her that the girl didn't have the courage to resist his explicit commands. Now, years later, Ellis remains a favorite of Kavanagh's, and she still hasn't gathered the confidence she needs to refuse him even the smallest favor.

_______ RUSSELL (214)

31 years old, been at the labs for 4 years.
The epitome of a thick-skulled, brutish man, he finds thrills in annoying Vostrikova to near breaking point with his endless criticism and harsh questions. (But he'll never admit that the woman has kicked his ass on several occasions.) To his fellow resident, he's a genuinely friendly guy with a big heart, more like a giant teddy bear than the sarcastic ass he acts like around the scientists. He has a shameless sense of humor that doesn't seem to fit his environment they are in, and he's always wearing a smile despite the chronic pain he's in.

24 years old, been at the labs for 4 years.
Even four years in a hell-hole couldn't damage this girl's tough spirit. Despite the effects of her treatment, Delgado-Reyes continues to live each day to the fullest. She is, in the kindest sense of the word, a complete whore. If someone has something she wants, she'll use her powers of seduction to convince them to barter it to her for sex. Residents, menials, scouts, guys, girls, it doesn't matter; if they have it and she wants it, nothing's going to stop her. Her loose ways have gained the attention (and the bitter hatred) of Vostrikova, who thinks she is a stupid twit with no respect for her own body. And yet, Delgado-Reyes is still convinced that she can seduce the harsh woman scientist into submission.

22 years old, been at the labs for 3 years.
Katsev is a skittish and meek young man, who is terrified (more than most) of Vostrikova and most of the other scientists, scouts, menials, and even some fellow residents. One such resident is Miss Delgado-Reyes, who spotted something in his plastic tub that she wanted, and unleashed her fiercest flirtation techniques on the man, who promptly had a full-scale panic attack. He doesn't know how to react when girls approach him in such a manner, probably because he's not interested in the female gender in the least.

If Dr. Oleksei has one weakness, it is this woman. She was among the first experiments that Oleksei recieved, and while the affinity he had for her wasn't quite love, it was about as close as one could get without actually being there. After administering the first treatment to this woman, Oleksei came to Molonov's office with tears in his eyes, and requested she be promoted or moved so he didn't have to operate on her again. Molonov laughed at him, and told him to stop being so weak. He told Oleksei that the woman would stay in his group, if only to teach Oleksei a lesson. The woman suffers from occasional seizures due to a mishap in that first experiment.

_______ GRAZIANO (497)

12 years old, been at the labs for 1 year.
Graziano is little more than a terrified little boy in a sticky situation. He was taken from the streets of Venice at the same time as the girl who acted as an adoptive older sister to him, Camisso. (Not that he remembers how he knows her or where they're from. He just knows that she's important, because she keeps him safe.) Camisso was the only sense of stability Graziano had, and for a while, he even felt safe at the laboratories, because she was there. But after a treatment gone wrong, the kind Camisso changed into a cold-hearted witch, and now Graziano is left feeling alone with only the overbearing Belfontaine to try and comfort him.

15 years old, been at the labs for 1 year.
Camisso got picked up by an Italian scout from the streets of Venice, where she'd been looking after a fellow homeless boy. Unlike Graziano, she vaguely remembers Venice, though the only thing she sees is the city itself, and the little boy's face. She's viciously protective of Graziano, but since the treatment mishap, she's felt like a different person. She's been bitter to everyone, including the boy she revolves her life around. More than anything, she hates Belfontaine and her overbearing ways, but Belfontaine blames Camisso's outbursts on her adolescence.

34 years old, been at the labs for less than a year.
Miss Belfontaine is a strong-willed, somewhat motherly woman that has been acting as a self-proclaimed guardian to Graziano and Camisso since she was hauled into the laboratories a relatively short time ago. She is extremely protective of these children, moreso of them than of herself. When their numbers are called into Oleksei's lab, she has no qualms marching right up to the man and asking him what the hell is wrong with him, and how he can justify tearing apart the brain of a child.
